Prison Break actor Lane Garrison may have been intoxicated when he was involved in a car accident late Saturday night that killed a 17-year-old boy.
Garrison, who plays Tweener on the hit TV series, was driving his 2001 Land Rover SUV with three teenagers when the accident occurred.
The 26-year-old actor reportedly struck a center median while driving in Beverly Hills and lost control of the vehicle, which ended up hitting a tree at 11:52 p.m.
A 17-year-old male passenger was killed in the accident and his identity has not been released.
Two 15-year-old girls were also injured in the crash. One has been released and one is in serious condition at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
Beverly Hills Police said at a press conference Monday that the star “displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication” after being involved in the fatal car crash.
No charges have been filed yet, but investigators have confirmed that they removed alcohol containers from the SUV, which was registered to the actor.
A police source adds, “The investigation into Mr. Garrison‘s impairment is ongoing.”
