Synopsis

In a time of war and revolution, Russia is under threat of invasion, and torn open by radical social upheaval. In the palace, the royal family is divided by a sickness that threatens the young heir to the throne. Into the center of it all walks one man with the power to heal the empire... or destroy it. Rasputin attracts the attention of the royal family, and turns the world against him. How did he rise to power? And how did he foresee -- through his own terrible murder -- the tragedy that would befall the Czar and his family? This is the story of one of the most powerful men in Russian history... and one of the most dangerous.
