People may love to love love, but that doesn’t mean that they are ready for love. Case in point — NBC’s new reality show, Ready for Love, tanked during its premiere Tuesday night.
Even though NBC set up Ready for Love for success by putting it after its ratings buster The Voice, the new Bachelor-esque show came in last place in the 9 PM and 10 PM major broadcast time slots, EW.com reports. The show only attracted 3.8 million viewers, and hit a 1.6 rating with adults aged 18-49. These numbers even incorporate the fact that The Voice ran over into Ready for Love‘s time slot, though it clearly didn’t help the show at all.
According to EW, Ready for Love earned the same numbers as Hannibal‘s premiere last week, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that The Voice had 282 percent more leverage than what Go On gave Hannibal. The Voice‘s viewership may have dipped seven percent this week, but it still had more than enough viewers to secure a steady debut Ready for Love. Unfortunately, NBC’s plan was a bust.
