When we say Tatitana Maslany deserves all the awards, we mean she deserves all the awards times, like, seven. That’s approximately the amount of characters she plays on ONE show: Orphan Black. In case you’re not in the loop, Tatiana embodies an array of vastly different clones on the show – sometimes more than one in the same scene. We still don’t know how she does it. But if we could shower her in awards, we would. Here are some reasons why she’s deserving:
1. She plays an edgy badass.
2. She plays a psycho Ukrainian.
3. She plays an uptight soccer mom.
4. She plays a ruthless businesswoman.
5. She plays a quirky science geek.
6. She plays a trans clone.
She plays all these characters ON THE SAME SHOW, mind you.
7. She’s done scenes where she’s one clone playing another clone. And she blows our minds every time.
8. She can do basically any accent.
9. When she acts scared, boy do we believe her.
10. She often plays multiple clones in same scene, and we’re just like how?
11. She pulled off this clone dance party scene, which we imagine was NOT easy. She even mastered four different dance styles!
12. She consistently breaks down gender barriers.
13. She’s smart. And that’s hot.
How has she not received an Emmy nomination?
If it were up to us, every awards show would go something like: And the winner is…Tatiana Maslany!
