Rehab boss worried for Gascoigne

The troubled British sportsman was arrested for driving under the influence earlier this month (Oct10) in Newcastle, England, after he was found to be four times over the legal alcohol limit.

He subsequently checked into Providence Project clinic in Dorset, England, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The clinic’s founder Steve Spiegel has warned that the 43 year old may need up to six months of intensive therapy.

Spiegel explains, “We have grave concerns for Paul. He needs help. He’s becoming a bit of a clown figure. People are no longer laughing with him, they are laughing at him.”

Gascoigne, who has battled alcohol and depression problems for years, is next due in court on 11 November (10).
