A six-part British series in which six writers take six different journeys along some of the world's waterways. In "A River Journey by Christina Dodwell," the author explores two rivers in Papua New Guinea. "The Congo with Michael Wood" presents an account of the historian's trip down the Congo. "The Rio Sao Francisco with Germaine Greer" describes the writer's Brazilian adventure. "The Nile with Brian Thompson" features a journey on the longest river in the world. "The Mekong with William Shawcross" depicts the journalist's trip in Southeast Asia. "The Murray with Russell Braddon" follows the writer's adventure on Australia's greatest river.
