Comedian Chris Rock has sent his congratulations to talk show host Jon Stewart, who will take over his role as Oscars host in March.
The Academy’s original choice Billy Crystal was too busy with his one-man show 700 Sundays to host the prestigious awards, so The Daily Show star Stewart will step into the role.
Rock says, “Jon’s going to be great. There are a lot of political movies this year, and he’s the political guy. I gave him the same advice Billy (Crystal) gave me. I also told him to call Billy.”
