Romeo Eliminated from ‘DWTS’

Despite earning the lowest score for his dances on Monday (due to a severe knee injury to be fair,) Ralph Macchio wasn’t eliminated last night on Dancing with the Stars. Instead, Romeo did not make it into the top four even though he performed one of his best dances all season to Britney Spears’ “Hold It Against Me” with his partner, Chelsie Hightower, on Monday. After Romeo learned he would be leaving he told Brooke Burke, “I’m surprised because that was one of my best dances last night but at the same time, I’m not surprised because the competition this year…it could be anybody at anytime. But we went out with a bang, and that’s the most fun I had in my life yesterday.” He even told reporters that he felt a little bad for not being able to reward Chelsie’s hard work with a disco ball trophy. “To go now is kind of unreal and sad because I wanted to win this thing for her,” he said. “The show definitely changed my life for the rest of my life. A lot of people don’t know that I was afraid of dancing. I was that kid who never danced. I turned down a lot of movies because I didn’t want to dance.” But Romeo refrained from sharing who he thinks should win the competition: “Everybody is super strong. It could literally be any one of the four. It all just comes down to mostly who has the best freestyle in the finale. At at that point, Mark [Ballas] has done some very [cool] freestyles, so it might be Chelsea [Kane]. Or it might be Kirstie. You never know.”
