Simon Pegg Joins ‘Walking Dead’ Creator’s ‘L.A. Noir’ Series

Simon PeggWhat do you get when a two men who are known for two separate zombie-related masterpieces come together? Something that is completely unrelated to zombies altogether, but still pretty cool. Simon Pegg, star of Shaun of the Dead, is joining Frank Darabont’s (The Walking Dead creator and former showrunner) developing TNT series, L.A. Noir.

This move is just another example of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol star Pegg’s innumerable ability. Although he is known best for sci-fi pieces (Star Trek) and comedy films (Hot Fuzz), not to mention sci-fi comedy films (Paul), the actor is definitely capable of the crime drama that is Darabont’s new series. L.A. Noir is set in 1940s Los Angeles, among crooked cops and syndicated crime rings like the real life gangster Mickey Cohen.

Pegg joins Jon Bernthal, another Walking Dead alum, and Milo Ventimiglia of Heroes on Darabont’s new drama. This assortment of acting and creative power gives the show a lot of potential.
