Before stealing everyone's hearts as Freddie McClair on the third and fourth seasons of Skins, Pasqualino had auditioned for the role of Tony Stonem. After losing to Nicholas Hoult for the role, he did a low-budget film and a few guest starring TV roles before becoming the laid-back, weed-smoking love interest of Effy Stonem. Since the show, he's kicked ass in the movie Snowpiercer and landed the role of d'Artagnan on BBC's The Musketeers.

Kaya Scodelario - Effy

Scodelario was cast at age 14 with no previous acting experience for the role of Effy Stonem. Even though the part of Effy had few speaking parts throughout the first two seasons, the character became the only one to stay on for four seasons, allowing her to develop considerably throughout the show's run. Since the fourth season ended, Scodelario has had roles in films like the science fiction thriller Moon, the lead in Wuthering Heights, as well as the lead female role in The Maze Runner, starring in this year's sequel The Mazer Runner: Scorch Trials. She'll also star in 2017's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Nicholas Hoult made his acting debut in the 1996 film Intimate Relations at age 7, but saw greater success after the 2002 film About A Boy. He later landed the role of Tony and saw his career take off from there. He was cast in Tom Ford's A Single Man, as Hank McCoy/Beast in X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past. He also starred in Warm Bodies and Jack the Giant Slayer, and will star in the upcoming adaptation of Gillian Flynn's Dark Places alongside Charlize Theron and Christina Hendricks. He also will appear with Charlize again this year in Mad Max: Fury Road.

Most recently, she starred in the film God Help The Girl.

Since Skins, Bailey has kept a relatively low profile with only smaller roles on TV and in shorts. He starred in the 2013 teen comedy We Are The Freaks. We really think he should pursue a career in music or cover bands or something though.

Patel's first acting experience was on Skins; the role of Anwar was partly based on his own personality and was written specifically for him after he was cast. After the show, he starred in (and received incredible acclaim for) Slumdog Millionaire, The Last Airbender, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and About Cherry. Most recently, The Newsroom completed its final season with Patel starring as Neal Sampat. He will reprise his role of Sonny Kapoor in the upcoming The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
