Nadia Sawalha kept baby foetus in freezer after miscarriage

British actress Nadia Sawalha was so distraught after losing her baby she kept the deceased foetus in a freezer at her home.
The mum-of-two, who has suffered three miscarriages, revealed on U.K. daytime talk show Loose Women that she found it impossible to part with the remains of her baby after losing it four months into her pregnancy.
“When you’re in that position, could you actually imagine doing that?” She said. “I remember when I had my third miscarriage and had it at home and delivered it.
“I was just not right, in my head. I don’t know what would have happened if somebody had come and asked me at that point… Because I was just strange. I was about four and half months by this point and I actually kept the foetus in the freezer because I didn’t want it to go anywhere, there’s this connection and I wasn’t ready to let go.”
Nadia made the frank admission in a discussion about a proposal from U.K. doctors to allow mothers with damaged foetuses which would not survive pregnancy to carry their child to full term to allow their organs to be harvested for transplant.
The TV star admitted that her third miscarriage, was toughest of all, saying, “It’s really difficult to have that conversation, I got enormous support after I had my second one and my third one which was the hardest of all because it was much later on and I had to go through a birth.”
Although the star has spoken before about her sadness at losing a child during pregnancy, tearing up when discussing her miscarriages on the program last year (15), it is the first time she has spoken so frankly about her difficulty in coming to terms with the loss of a child.
