Former The Sopranos star Lillo Brancato Jr and his co-defendant Steven Armento were yesterday arraigned on charges they shot dead a New York City policeman.
The pair pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder, burglary and weapon possession.
Armento, 48, who is accused of firing the fatal bullet, was also charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the killing of off-duty Officer Daniel Enchautegui on Dec. 10.
Brancato, 29, entered the police-packed courtroom, in New York City’s Bronx area, with his hands cuffed. The actor claims he didn’t know Armento was armed.
