Match Game feels like a show that’s been around for forever. It started way back in 1962.
The show, if you’re not familiar with it, has two contestants that try to match answers with celebrities. The show runs a poll and then the celebrities have to come up with what they think would be the most popular response to the question. For example, a question actually asked on this season was that 73% of Americans think we should replace Hail to the Chief with what Michael Jackson song, what is the song? Knowing Host Alec Baldwin he’d chose “Beat It”, but questions will get way more random and vague than that.
In the above interview, we hear from some of the celebrity guests. Ice-T talks about the long-term popularity of the show and having fun with your career, Rob Huebel discusses the simplicity of ‘Match Game’, Jason Biggs explains why there can be so many different answers, and then Christina Ricci, Nikki Glaser, and NeNe Leakes gives future contestants advice on how to win the show.
‘The Match Game’ returns January 3, 2018, at 10/9c on ABC.
