Steel Magnolias mansion up for auction

The Louisiana home that served as the main location for 1989 movie Steel Magnolias is to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The Natchitoches mansion, which served as a hospital in the American Civil War, will be sold off with all furnishings and fittings on 26 October (13).
Built in 1840, the old place welcomed the likes of Shirley MacLaine, Sally Field and Julia Roberts for the hit film.
It was placed on the market for as much as $1.17 million (£780,000) last year (12), according to People.com.
