Straight Up songwriter’s remains found in New Mexico

The body of missing music producer/songwriter Elliot Marvin Wolff has been found in New Mexico.
Wolff, who wrote and produced Paula Abdul’s 1988 hit Straight Up, was reported missing earlier this month (Jun16), after failing to return home from a solo camping trip.
His remains were found in the Santa Fe National Forest on Saturday (25Jun16).
State police officials called off the search for him on 12 June (16), citing a lack of evidence.
Wolff began his career as a musical director for Peaches and Herb in the early 1980s and toured with Chaka Khan.
He also wrote songs for Taylor Dayne and Color Me Badd and worked with Aretha Franklin and the Corrs, among others.
