A one-woman cooking, decorating and entertaining machine, Chelsea Stevens, oversees a media empire as America's reigning queen of domesticity. Her new producer, Jane Sokol, recognizes that while Chelsea has no trouble in her business life, her personal life is a mess. Jane decides to make Chelsea more human, while Chelsea decides to make Jane stronger, better and more confident. Chelsea's office staff includes: the droll interior designer Mr. John; her sweet but incompetent secretary Terry; and wisecracking food stylist Trudy. At Chelsea's Connecticut farm house, Earl, a handsome Southern gentleman, serves as her gardener-property caretaker-spiritual advisor.
