Super Bowl Sets All-Time Ratings Record

Eli ManningSunday night’s Super Bowl XLVI is officially the most-watched American TV telecast ever!

The thrilling game, in which the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots, was watched by by a record-setting 111.3 million viewers, narrowly beating last year’s Super Bowl viewership of 111 million.

The big game was followed by the season premiere of The Voice, to which an equally astonishing 36.7 million people tuned in — good enough for the best non-sports ratings in six years. Not a bad night for NBC!
