Take a First Look at ‘Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders’

Crime shows based on things that actually happened are really hot right now. Netflix had their hit with Making a Murder, FX blew up with their American Crime series starting off with the OJ Simpson trial, and now NBC is getting into the mix.

‘Law & Order True Crime’ will be an anthology series with the first one covering the Menendez Murders. On August 20, 1989, José and Kitty Menedez were brutally murdered with a shotgun and that left their sons Lyle and Erik Menendez with a ton of money. The brothers both bought cars, jewelry, and lived their lives like the rich people do. Later in the story, the brothers confessed to the murders of their parents. As it turns out the question wasn’t if they did it, but why, and the public wanted to know. As big of a case this was, not everyone knew everything, so it’s up to this show to answer those questions.

‘Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders’ is an 8 episode series starting September 26, 2017, on NBC.
