The American Candidate | 2004
Competition reality series designed to show the true process of what it takes to become a presidential candidate. The public will choose a "people's candidate" from 12 candidates, who could potentially mount a run for the Presidency in the 2004 general election. Applicants are selected based on an application process and audition that covers federal laws required to become President of the US. Semi-finalists will shoot each episode from various quintessentially American locations undergoing several challenges including debates, rallies and media scrutiny, with the American public voting until only one is left. The winner will receive $200,000 and a chance to address the entire U.S. during the final live episode of the series to be held at an American Candidate convention on the Mall in Washington D.C.
