Synopsis

Goldie Appelby, a one-time vivacious showgirl turned manicurist, accepts a dinner invitation with Mr. Strickland, one of her customers, a lonely millionaire. Later that night, his sudden death makes her the beneficiary of his will, the head of his sixty-million-dollar estate, and the guardian of his three orphaned children. Episodes concern Goldie's struggles to adjust to her new responsibilities, run the foundation, and care for and secure the affections of Patricia, Roy, and Nicky, the spendthrift Strickland children.
