Netflix’s ‘Making A Murder’ was a huge success and took the world by storm last December. Recently, it’s efforts had been fruitful, leading to the overturned conviction of Brendan Dassey. Now CBS’s ‘The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey’ hopes to do the same.
In 1996 a six-year-old child beauty queen had gone missing and was later found murdered in her home. At the time, the main suspects were her Mother, Father, and Brother, but after DNA evidence cleared them, no one was ever charged in the murder of the young girl. The case got the attention of media everywhere, and different things were thought to have been handled very strangely.
There have been a number of TV shows dealing with this particular popular case, so what’s different now? Time. Time has brought advancements in research and science, so now it’s time to see if it will help. During the 3 episode, 2-hour series, investigators will re-examine different evidence with today’s technology to see what they can find using science and technology. From the trailer, they do everything from using sound editing on the 911 call, examining the kidnapping letter, interviewing people that should have been interviewed the first time, and even rebuilding the entire house to scale with the exact things that are laid out in the photos.
The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey begins September 18 at 8:30 PM on CBS.
