The Cosby Kids: The E! True Hollywood Story | 2000
"The Cosby Show" smashed stereotypes and ratings expectations by presenting the first affluent, educated African-American family in prime-time television history. The unexpected success of the show, however, led by creator, executive producer and lead actor Bill Cosby, proved to be difficult for the young, then-virtually unknown cast. Trying to balance their professional careers and the demands of school, combined with overwhelming press coverage, made living a normal childhood difficult for the adolescent stars. When the series ended after eight critically acclaimed seasons, most of the "Cosby Kids" experienced the common difficulties young adults have in shedding their popular on-screen personas.
