Prepare to say goodbye to the most infamous, drama-filled zip code on TV: The CW’s 90210 is ending its run this May, Hollywood.com has confirmed.
The CW has pulled the plug on the drama, about a second generation of California rich kids, after five seasons with only seven episodes left to air this season. The final episode will air on Monday, May 13. 90210 has seen a significant drop in ratings this season, hitting a series low of just a 0.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 550,000 viewers for the Feb. 18 episode, leading many to question how much longer the show would last.
“The CW has had five great seasons with America’s favorite zip code, 90210,” The CW President Mark Pedowitz says. “I’d like to thank the talented cast, producers, and crew for all their hard work and dedication to the series. We are very proud of the West Beverly High alumni.”

90210 began as a reboot of the ’90s hit Beverly Hills, 90210, but quickly evolved into its own show as it followed a group of friends living in the glamorous zip code. The show has attracted many famous faces over the years (such as Ryan Lochte earlier this season and the upcoming series finale with Prince Michael Jackson) as well as big names in music (this year featured Carly Rae Jepsen and an upcoming episode with Fall Out Boy).
No word yet on whether or not the series finale will give each character closure by wrapping up their various storylines, but it’s safe to assume there’ll be a satisfying conclusion out of respect to fans. If it’s anything like the recent series finales of Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill, the series finale will likely be paired with a retrospective to celebrate the drama’s five-year run.
