Ryan Reynolds has been making us ‘awww’ with his intense, almost-sickening love for wife Blake Lively. The pair just welcomed their second child in September, and the spark is as bright and fiery as ever. It kind of makes us wonder: what was the moment Ryan knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with another beautiful, blonde actress after things ended with Scarlett Johansson? How did he learn to love again?
According to the actor, it was all about the booty. In an interview with GQ, Reynolds, who scored the coveted title of Man of the Year, admitted he knew he loved Blake “probably after the sex.”
Of course, he was just joking. Anyone who’s ever read Reynolds’ Twitter account knows his sense of humor is always on point. It turns out Blake and Ry-Ry fell in love like anyone else, only in a chic, classy Tribeca restaurant instead of, like, a date to the Olive Garden.
“No, we were hanging out at this little restaurant in Tribeca that’s open really late, and this song came on and I was just like, ‘Want to dance?’ No one was in there, so it was just totally empty,” he said. “And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, ‘Oh, I think I just crossed a line.’ And then I walked her home. And, uh, you know, I don’t really need to go into what happened after that.”
