Synopsis

The series, set in Los Angeles, follows the exploits of three men: Glenn Howard, publisher of "Crime" magazine, a man who built the then-fictional and defunct "People" magazine into a multimillion-dollar empire (Howard Publications); Dan Farrell the senior editor, a former F.B.I. agent who is conducting a personal battle against the underworld (which killed his wife and child); and Jeff Dillon, editor of the People segment of "Crime." Their individual attempts to uncover story material are depicted on a rotating basis. See also "Fame Is The Name Of The Game" for information on the series pilot film.
