The Nanny | 1993
Fran Fine, a former door-to-door cosmetics representative from Queens, New York, stumbled into a job as nanny for a widowed Broadway producer Maxwell Sheffield's family of three children after peddling cosmetics on his doorstop. Her honesty and offbeat style won over Maxwell and the children, who blossomed under her care. Maggie, the oldest, developed into a confident young woman. Brighton was quick-witted and devious. Grace, the youngest, no longer needed the help of a therapist. Eventually Fran and Maxwell became a couple. Also on staff at the Sheffield mansion were C.C. Babcock, Maxwell's snooty business partner, and Niles, the butler, whose sardonic wit kept everyone in line, especially C.C.
