The Opening Credits For Netflix’s ‘A Series Of Unfortunate Events’ Are Terrifying AF

Guess what ya’ll? It’s Friday the 13th which means Netflix’s highly anticipated series, A Series of Unfortunate Events based on Lemony Snicket‘s novels is now available to stream! The series follows the diabolical Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) who becomes the guardian of the three orphaned Baudelaire children and plots and plans to steal their fortune. That’s already seriously F’d up if you ask us. But if you’ve read Unfortunate Events or seen the original film from 2004, then you know it gets much worse than that.

In the ominous opening credits for the series, viewers are warned time and time again to, “look away.” It gets even creepier when you realize it’s Count Olaf himself singing the lyrics. Even more terrifying is the fact that the opening credits consists of a murder board which could definitely tie into the awful things that are bound to happen to the poor Baudelaires throughout the series.  Check out the creepy opening credits below.
