The Original Private Eyes: The Pinkertons | 1999
One hundred fifty years ago, there was no national police agency until Allan Pinkerton formed a private police and security force that would work exclusively for businesses and corporations and do things they couldn't, or wouldn't do for themselves. The program explores how the Pinkerton agency is still chasing bad guys today, but on a global basis. Rather than chasing train robbers, the Pinkertons identify corporate thieves and bust video pirates. In addition, the company has branched into crisis management, helping corporations deal with kidnappings, extortion, earthquakes and revolutions.
