Synopsis

The series depicts events in the lives of teenagers Patty and Cathy Lane, identical twins (in a peculiar biological freak, first cousins, not siblings) living in a suburban neighborhood (in Brooklyn Heights, according to the story, though it looks a lot more like Cleveland Heights) in the mid-60s.

Patty, the American, possesses an unquenchable thirst for life and a penchant for finding trouble; Cathy possesses a love for the arts and the finer things and treasures her European upbringing as she struggles to adjust to the American way of life while living with her uncle and his family.
