The Settlement | 1999
Things would be a lot better for swaggering, womanizing Jerry and his hen-pecked partner Pat if their clients would just die faster. When advanced medicine extends the lives of their clients, their business of buying insurance policies from the terminally ill and betting on them to die on cue has left Pat and Jerry on the verge of bankruptcy. Their last chance for success is the beautiful cancer patient with three months to live who presents them with a $2 million policy. Of course, she may be a cold-blooded con artist. Lured by the bait of the dying femme fatale, they borrow money from the Mob and get into even bigger trouble than they could have imagined.
