Actor Louis Gross is facing up to 15 years behind bars for felony forgery charges after he allegedly attempted to use fake $100 bills in a New York store. The 31 year old, who had a bit part as a security guard in hit mob series The Sopranos, was arrested on 11 August (13) after police were called to investigate an incident in Manhattan.
According to authorities, Gross tried to ditch the fake cash by throwing four of the large bills on the ground as he was approached by cops.
He was arraigned in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday (12Sep13), when he was formally charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the first degree. If convicted, he could be jailed for up to 15 years, reports the New York Daily News.
Gross is due back in court on 23 September (13).
The former fitness model-turned-actor is no stranger to the law – in 2006, he was busted for a home break-in and petty larceny, while he is currently also facing drug and weapons possession charges in a separate case in Brooklyn.
