The Tales of Wells Fargo | 1956
"Dust over the prairie, dust everywhere; dust covers your face and your hair. Gold is what we carry, stop we don't dare, for Wells Fargo must get it there...." The series, set in the 1860s, relates the exploits of Jim Hardie, an agent-troubleshooter for Wells Fargo, Incorporated, gold transporters.
When the show was expanded to an hour in Fall 1961, Wells Fargo Agent Jim Hardie also became the owner of a ranch outside of San Francisco. His young assistant was Beau McCloud and the ranch foreman was Jeb Gaine. The next-door ranch was owned by Widow Ovie, who had two daughter, Mary Gee and Tina.
