The Trailer For Netflix’s ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ Is Here

It’s here! It’s here! The first trailer for Netflix‘s A Series Of Unfortunate Events has just dropped, and though the trailer itself is a bit lackluster, we did get some super important information. The trailer opens on the set of the series with Unfortunate Events author Lemony Snicket (played by Patrick Warburton) discussing the terrible fate of the Baudelaire children.

According to Snicket, the reason why the set is empty is because the crew has become so distraught over the circumstances of the kiddos, that they can’t bear to come to work. However, as he continues to tell us more about the plight of the children and the staff, we hear a terrifying shriek from what we can only assume is the diabolical Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris).

Just as the trailer closes, Snicket gives us one last warning by saying, “Don’t make the same mistake as Netflix has and look away before this dire tale is even filmed, and avoid the cruel whimsy and whimsical cruelty of what’s to come!” If you’re not going to heed Snicket’s advice then you should note that things are going to get really unfortunate, January 13, 2017 aka FRIDAY THE 13TH!
