S1E22: Now guys, I have to admit I was a bit nervous for The X Factor results show this week, since last week’s decision sent me into a Rachel Crow cry-fest. Seriously, this show may use product placement and cheesy gimmicks like there’s no tomorrow, but the one thing it’s got going for it, is its ability to catch fans off guard. Forget The X Factor, this show has The Entertainment Factor! Between all the emotional breakdowns and Steve Jones’ priceless expressions, this show’s now earned its place on American television.
But as I was saying, I was pretty scared to witness whatever tragic situation might unfold in tonight’s results, until I remembered that the judges wouldn’t have a say in the matter. That’s right America, the fate of the final four was in YOUR hands. No more Save Me songs, no more bottom two — the act with the lowest number of votes was sent home and that’s that. This is probably a really smart move considering this paves the way to the finals and we don’t want to/can’t deal with another one of Nicole Scherzinger’s screw ups. So after the producers and Stevecreast (I couldn’t help myself) spent the first 50 minutes of the show distracting us from getting some answers (which included a performance from child dream-crusher, Scherzinger), it was time to hear the results. And the person eliminated was…
And, not to sound mean, but it’s about time. This poor guy has been on the cusp of leaving this show for a month now and it was just his time to go. But at this point, even if you lose, you don’t lose and a record deal will inevitably be in his future. I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of him. So that leaves Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro, and Josh Krajcik to compete in the finals next week! Are you happy with tonight’s results? Did you think Marcus deserved to go home?
