Three Air Crashes: Common Links | 2001
Between 1996 and 1999, TWA #800, Swissair #111 and Egyptair #990 crashed soon after take-off in the same geographic region. Harvard professor Dr. Elaine Scarry believes that the three crashes share a common cause -- electromagnetic interference (EMI). EMI occurs when energy from one electrical device interferes with the performance of another. Even though the National Transportation Safety Board has ruled out EMI as a cause, Dr. Scarry continues to make a credible case for her theory.
