Tramp at the Door
A mysterious tramp enters the life of a rural family in Manitoba in the 1930s. The Fortier family finds themselves drawn into the elderly visitor's tales. The traveler is able to provide a contrast to the loneliness and isolation of their life on the prairie by weaving together tales based on their inadvertent cues and clues. They must determine if he is their cousin Gustave, connected to them by blood and history, or a traveling con artist, playing them for fools.
