When we heard just last week that Matt Bomer would be paying an April visit to Glee, playing Blaine Anderson’s (Darren Criss) older brother, we wondered: just what song could possibly encapsulate the majesty of this knee-weakening pair in the inevitable duet with which they will grace us? Well, we still don’t know. But we’re getting much, much closer. It was announced today that Bomer and Criss will join vocal forces to belt out a mashup, combining two numbers by the tour-de-force of ’80s music that is Duran Duran. The magnificent Andersons will perform a couple of the band’s lively anthems. I don’t think “Hungry Live the Wolf” is far from anybody’s minds…or hearts. When reporters play (exaggerated versions of) themselves on sitcoms, the results are regularly hilarious. 30 Rock does it with Brian Williams. Arrested Development did it with John Beard. And now, Raising Hope will give it a whirl with CNN’s Nancy Grace. The Fox sitcom is welcoming the journalist, lawyer and Dancing with the Stars participant to play a fictionalized version of herself on upcoming Season Two finale. Grace will act as host of a fictional magazine program that somehow involves the Chance family. Raising Hope airs Tuesday nights at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on Fox. –TVGuide
In a bit of news that is as awesome as it is strange, Dave Grohl of Nirvana and Foo Fighters fame is teaming with comedian Dana Gould to develop a comedy series for FX. The series will focus on an incredibly popular but highly tumultuous rock band that seeks the help of a bitter therapist to sort through the group’s problems in order to avoid a breakup. Grohl, who will executive produce, is no stranger to comedy—the musician has performed in films like Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny and The Muppets. Gould, who will star in, write and executive produce the new series, has acted on and written for such shows as The Simpsons and The Ben Stiller Show in the past. –Deadline
