Greg Garcia Sells Two Comedies to CBS: Deadline has word that My Name Is Earl and Raising Hope creator Greg Garcia has got himself not one but two half-hour projects set up at CBS. One, a single-camera comedy he is writing, and the second is a hybrid to be written by Danielle Sanchez-Witzel, called Capturing Crazy. The show is about a woman documentarian who puts the lens on her own family to prove that they’re nuts. Sanchez-Witzel is writing and will executive produce with Garcia.

HBO Gets a Leading Lady: Actress Christine Woods (from Flash Forward) has been confirmed as the lady lead opposite Stephen Merchant in his new HBO pilot Hello Ladies which he is also co-written, directed by and starring in. According to Deadline Merchant stars as Stephen, “a gawky Englishman searching for the woman of his dreams in Los Angeles. Half as charming as he thinks he is — and twice as desperate — he’s obsessed with infiltrating the glamorous world of beautiful people. Unfortunately the beautiful people won’t let him in.” Woods will play the woman who rents out his guest house and apparently gives him quite the ribbing for his awkward ways.

The upcoming fifth season of the show will see a return of (to quote showrunner Mike Schur) “the world’s worst human being,” aka Jean-Ralphio, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This news item is a really great excuse to look back on all our favorite moments from the most swaggalicious fella in all of Pawnee. Please make a torrid, secret Donna/JR affair happen!
