CBS is said to be readying a big-time renewal deal for hit comedies Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory.
Men is rumored to be getting a three-season order while Bang would get two more seasons. Both shows, co-created and exec produced by Chuck Lorre, hail from Warner Bros. TV.
The family comedy starring Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones is primetime’s top-rated comedy while Bang has become a bona fide hit in its second season.
According to Variety, the deal could potentially be a part of a settlement between Warner Bros. TV and CBS following their dispute over Men s production deficit and license fee which led to a lawsuit in December.
Warner Bros. also has a new drama hit at CBS in The Mentalist, which is said to be a cinch to be renewed for a second year but it was not yet clear if the show is part of the mega-renewal talks with CBS, Variety reported.
