U2 to Rock ‘Letterman’ All Week Long

What a headline-making week it’s been for David Letterman and his Late Show.

Tuesday night he interviewed Capt. Sullenberger and the rest of the crew from US Airways Flight 1549; Wednesday night was the hilariously bizarre (and instantly classic) chat with Joaquin Phoenix AND the unveiling of Sports Illustrated’s new swimsuit issue cover girl, Bar Refaeli, with whom Letterman also conducted an interesting interview.

Now comes word that one of the world’s most popular bands, U2, will play the show for an entire week beginning March 2 to promote its new album No Line on the Horizon.

It will mark Bono and the gang’s first Letterman appearance since October 2001 and the first time in the show’s history that a musical guest has been given the full week.

U2 unveiled its new album’s first single, “Get on Your Boots,” during the opening moments of Sunday night’s Grammy Awards.
