Mike Epps’ TV remake of beloved John Candy film Uncle Buck has been cancelled after just one season.
The comedian’s co-star James Lesure announced the disappointing news via Twitter on Wednesday (06Jul16).
He wrote: “Disappointed. No more @ABCUncleBuck. Cancelled. Thankful to have worked with @ABCNetwork. Proud of what we’ve done. Thx 4 let us entertain u (sic).”
The comedy series, a remake of the 1989 John Hughes film of the same name, featured an all African-American cast led by Lesure, Epps, and Nia Long.
