Video: Watch Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell in Showtime’s ‘House of Lies’ Premiere Online

The newest addition to the Showtime Sunday schedule is House of Lies, a comical look at the corruption and deceit in the high leagues of the corporate world. In order to get us prepped for the comedy to come, Showtime has placed the premiere episode of House of Lies online for free, which you can watch below.

The series stars Don Cheadle as Marty Kaan, a seven-figures-a-year management consultant, equipped with the gifts of manipulation and Zack Morris-esuqe narrative freeze frames, but cursed with a difficult home life (an abusive ex-wife, a disappointed father, and a son with whom he cannot connect). Kaan’s team includes the talented, mysterious and promiscuous Jeannie Van Der Hooven (Kristen Bell), the sycophantic, sex-obsessed Clyde Oberholt (Ben Schwartz), and the ingenious, geeky Harvard grad Doug Guggenheim (Josh Lawson).

House of Lies begins its TV run on Sunday, Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Staff editor Michael Arbeiter’s natural state of being can best be described as “mild panic attack.” His earliest memories of growing up in Queens, New York, involve nighttime conversations with a voice from his bedroom wall (the jury’s still out on what that was all about) and a love for classic television that spawned from the very first time he was allowed to watch “The Munsters.” Attending college at SUNY Binghamton, a 20-year-old Michael learned two things: that he could center his future on this love for TV and movies, and that dragons never actually existed — he was kind of late in the game on that one.
