Finally, after an arduous walker-less holiday season, we’re returning to the good stuff. The Walking Dead is back on AMC this Sunday with “The Suicide King,” and the ninth episode of the season. We’ve got exclusive images from the episode, include the shot above which shows our beloved Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) very much alive. Of course, so much can happen in an hour of television, so don’t breathe a sigh of relief just yet.

We’ve also got a look at one of the many walkers sure to complicate things for our survivors now that they’ve breached the Governor’s walls. Of course, when it comes to the newly-maimed Gov, a measly old brain-muncher is going to be the least of their worries.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC at 9 PM ET on Sunday.
