Widow on the Hill
Based on a true story, Linda Dupree is a young nurse who, while assisting well-to-do landowner Hank Cavanaugh and his daughters in caring for his terminally ill wife, begins seducing Hank. When their mother dies and Linda marries Hank, the daughters do what they can to accept their father's choice. But when Hank dies suspiciously and leaves the family fortune to Linda, Hank's younger daughter Jenny tries to prove that her stepmother is guilty of deceit, gold digging and possibly even murder. An autopsy of Hank reveals an overdose of morphine and Linda is arrested. Ultimately, Linda is acquitted of Hank's murder, although she is still awaiting the outcome of a $15 million civil suit brought against her by her stepdaughters.
