Wives and Daughters | 1999
Miniseries set amid the broad range of middle-English society during the 1820s. Forthright and passionate Molly Gibson was brought up from childhood by her father. At 17-years-old, Molly acquires a stepmother and a beautiful stepsister, Cynthia. The loveable but worldly Cynthia brings Molly both joys and woes. Men, of course, are the problem -- in the form of Squire Hamley's sons Osborne and Roger, and the mysterious Mr. Preston.
