Andrew Lincoln coming back to direct The Walking Dead

Actor Andrew Lincoln is already plotting his return to The Walking Dead set, revealing he’d like to direct the zombie drama.
The Brit announced he’d be walking away from the show at the end of season nine at the San Diego Comic-Con event in July (18), but it appears he won’t be a stranger on set.
Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes on TV, tells Entertainment Weekly, “I’m going back. I’m going back to shadow a director, and my intention is to direct next year.
“I can’t be that far away because I can’t bear it. That’s how much I am invested in the show and the continuation of the story.”
If he realises his directing dream, Lincoln won’t be the first The Walking Dead cast member to step behind the camera – Michael Cudlitz, whose character was killed off in the season seven premiere, will be taking charge of the seventh episode of season nine.
Lincoln’s final season as a The Walking Dead regular begins in America on 7 October (18).
