Zorro | 1957
"Out of the night, when the full moon is bright, comes a horseman known as Zorro." Arriving in Monterey, California (1820s), at the request of his late father to assist in ending the reign of Monastario, an evil Spanish commandant who has established himself as ruler, Don Diego de la Vega adopts the guise of the mysterious masked rider Zorro, a defender of the weak and oppressed.
Revealing his dual identity only to Bernardo, his father's deaf mute servant, Don Diego poses as a wealthy but lazy man about town to protect his secret alias. Appearing whenever the need arises, Don Diego, as the mysterious Spanish nobleman Zorro, crusades against injustice and attempts to end Monastario's reign.
