Nick finally has a meeting with Tripp's nemesis, billionaire Simon Elder, and finds he has more in common with Simon than he imagined. Since Darling twins Juliet and Jeremy are feuding over Jeremy's affair with Natalie Kimpton, they decide to throw separate birthday parties for themselves; each budgeted at $1 million dollars. Trying to outdo the other, Jeremy has his party on the Brooklyn Bridge, while Juliet's party has a French Revolution theme, complete with life-size chocolate aristocrats. Brian Jr. feels the need to tell Brian's wife the truth about his paternity. Karen presses to help get her fiancé, Freddy, into a prestigious country club.
