When Rousseau leads Sayid to a mysterious captive in the jungle, he becomes determined to find out if he is one of the "Others" by ways of torture. He locks himself in the empty weapons cache with the help of Locke who changes the combination so Jack can't get in. Jack convinces Locke to l et him by keeping him from pushing the button which reveals some sort of mechanical activation before Locke managed to shut it down. Sayid flashes back on how he became a torturer, a skill picked up from American's that held him captive in the first Gulf War and was forced to use against his commanding officer to reveal the whereabouts of a captured US pilot. Meanwhile, on a quest to quiet an annoying tree frog, Sawyers stumbles upon Hurley feasting upon horded food from the bunker and blackmails him into helping track down the critter.
