When Vanessa blows off studying for her SAT's to work at a coffee house, Bernie thinks she should pay rent. Jordan has discovered a sudden growth spurt and has decided to test out his new found height and strength advantages, much to Bernie’s disappointment. After a near death experience and inspiration from Oprah, Bernie decides he should leave all his knowledge with the kids before he passes. With that in his head, Bernie makes tapes on every possible issue the kids could have after his death. Vanessa is struggling with college applications, while Jordan is cashing in on Bernie’s current state of mind.
